Pre-Health Pathways

If you're planning to become a physician, dentist, pharmacist, physical therapist, veterinarian or another healthcare professional, UNI's pre-health pathways provide the foundation to help you get there. You'll complete your bachelor's degree while working closely with advisors to choose the right courses, gain hands-on experience through research, shadowing and volunteer opportunities, and prepare a competitive application for graduate or professional school.

Pre-health pathways aren't majors — they're personalized plans that complement your undergraduate degree and help you stay on track for your future career.

Accelerated Pre-Health Pathways

UNI offers accelerated options that allow qualified students to begin advanced or professional coursework while completing their undergraduate degree. Depending on the program, students may transition to a partner institution for their final year or begin graduate coursework at UNI before earning their bachelor’s degree.

These pathways can shorten the time needed to earn multiple degrees while providing a clear, coordinated route toward careers in fields such as athletic training, chiropractic care and medical laboratory science.
